Well it's actually a lovely story and one that involves an element of serendipity (and some gentle nudging)...

 

Being a Graphic Designer of some 25 years, I have always had a love of colour, form and good design although I certainly had no knowledge of fused glass. But... a few years ago I was lucky enough to have a group of wonderful (and very generous) friends who wanted to get me something a little different for my birthday – they clubbed together and bought me a glass fusing course. It was totally amazing and I instantly fell in love with everything about it. I made a few pieces for friends and family and they went down such a storm that I was encouraged to do more and perhaps try selling some of my pieces. I decided that actually this WAS something I really would like to do more of and set about researching tools, glass suppliers and kilns and everything I would need to get started as a hobby. It then escalated and turned into a small business – the results of which you can see in the Gallery Showcase.
